On Friday 7 August 2015, Chilverleigh celebrated Jeans for Genes Day with fun art and craft activities. Jeans for Genes Day is the major fundraiser for the Children’s Medical Research Institute which studies congenital conditions such as epilepsy, cancer and birth defects. All the children came to Chilverleigh wearing their jeans. Our educators explained the meaning of Jeans for Genes Day to the children.
There were lots of fun art and craft activities which all involved recycled jeans. Creche Room 1 decorated different sized mini jeans with stickers, glitter and coloured paint. Each child created their own beautiful pair of jeans which are on display in the hallway.
