SunSmart for Childcare Centres

Chilverleigh Early Learning has joined with the Cancer Council to provide the SunSmart program for Childcare centres.  SunSmart is a national program run by the Cancer Council which supports services to develop and implement a sun protection policy that minimises childrens exposure to UV radiation and reduces the risk of skin cancer.

Eat it to Beat it Program

Chilverleigh Early Learning is association with the Cancer Council (Link through to CC page) have introduced an Eat it to Beat it program (Link through to EITBI page), which helps families understand how eating the right amount of fruit and vegetables helps fight against many types of cancer.
Did you know that 90% of adults in NSW don’t eat enough vegetables?  And 50% of adults don’t eat enough fruit?

Cancer Council recommends eating 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetables a day.  This can be daunting – but the Eat it to Beat it program gives parents easy ideas and recipes to make it part of their everyday routine.  Find out more about the foods Chilverleigh Early Learning prepare for our children here.
